Mina is an associate at Climate Nexus. Touching on everything from designing infographics to writing detailed science backgrounders, Mina works on a variety of items and is interested in a wide array of environmental topics at Climate Nexus.
Prior to joining the Nexus team, Mina worked with the NYC Mayor’s Office of Sustainability, focusing on building energy efficiency through public-private partnerships. She helped design and publish The NYC Carbon Challenge Handbook, which details best management practices for hospitals and universities to reduce their carbon footprint. Mina was also a graduate student consultant for the World Resources Institute, where she analyzed key issues relating to forest conservation and restoration policies, and made recommendations for improved governance practices.
Mina holds an MPA in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, and a BFA in Studio Art from NYU’s Steinhardt School. She is determined to bring her two passions of art and the environment together.
Outside of the office, Mina can be found in any place that has food, at the Natural History Museum, or in her “studio," sewing a 6-foot Yeti sculpture from scratch.
